Andrea Albeck

Andrea Albeck

Andrea Albeck is a conservation biologist with a focus on terrestrial conservation. Her main interests are ecology, wild pollinators, and management. At Pro Natura, Andrea works with Biodiversity Assessments (NVI) according to the Swedish Standard and surveys of pollinators, birds, species-rich road verges, veteran trees, and the development of management plans. She also works with GIS.

Claes Hellsten

Claes Hellsten

Claes Hellsten works with the Östra Vätterbranterna Biosphere Reserve on behalf of WWF. Nature school teacher (Ekobussen, Jönköping municipality), small-scale farmer, works with education, landscape management and protection, restoration (woodland, natural pastures), biological and cultural heritage, collaborative projects with organisations, authorities and farmers.

Elisabet Ottosson

Elisabet Ottosson

Is an ecologist and conservation biologist with a PhD in forest mycology. Elisabet undertakes different types of surveys in terrestrial environments, especially in boreal and nemoral forests and grasslands. She also designs ecological studies and data analyses. Elisabet is particularly interested in fungi and is a board member of the Swedish Mycological Society.

Emma Karlsson

Emma Karlsson

Trained biologist specialising in nature conservation and ecology. Emma works primarily with different surveys, including birds, veteran trees, species-rich road verges, and Biodiversity Assessments (NVI) according to the Swedish Standard . She also writes management plans, works with GIS, and has a great interest in nature photography. Her main interests are birds, bats, and botany. Emma sits on the board for the Örebro Botany Society.

Johan Ennerfelt

Johan Ennerfelt

is a trained conservation biologist and species specialist. He has a deep interest in terrestrial biology but has his greatest expertise in entomology and ornithology. In the world of entomology, Johan has primarily specialised in flies. He works mainly with surveys of various types, such as targeted species surveys, bird surveys and Biodiversity Assessments (NVI) according to the Swedish Standard . He also likes to work with species identification assignments. In his spare time, he is active in local nature conservation organisations and enjoys sharing knowledge about species and biodiversity.

Kurt-Anders Johansson

Kurt-Anders Johansson

Kurt-Anders works primarily as a manager within RÄFS Nature Conservation Organisation with practical nature conservation work. He has great expertise and enthusiasm for mycology and has been chairman of Västgötabergen Fungi Club for more than 25 years. For many years he has also worked with botany, bryology, and ornithology.

Leif Andersson

Leif Andersson

Conservation biologist and plant ecologist working primarily with surveys. Botany in most areas. Project management. Method development, teaching, and specialist in broadleaved woodland. Data issues, GIS. Has been active as Swedish project manager for the woodland key habitat surveys in Estonia and Lithuania and western Russia. Participated in the working group that developed the Swedish Biodiversity Assessment Standard (Naturvärdesinventering).

Lisa Stridh

is a biologist specialising in ecology and nature conservation. Main interests are ecology, botany and nature conservation management. Ola Bengtsson

Ola Bengtsson

Ola is a nature conservation biologist who works mainly with surveys of various types, such as Biodiversity Assessments (NVI) according to the Swedish Standard. He also works with management issues and monitoring in different types of terrestrial habitats such as broadleaved woodlands, grasslands, fringe and mantle, sandy areas, and coastal habitats. Important species groups are vascular plants, mosses, lichens, birds, and butterflies. Ola also works with GIS and the analysis of ecological data and how analysis of such data can be used and translated into practical nature conservation.

Ola Hammarström

Ola Hammarström

Ola is a conservation biologist and has worked with surveys and nature conservation management since 2013. He has a wide range of expertise in terrestrial habitats with a special focus on woodlands and cryptogams. Ola is a member of the Swedish Species Information Centre’s expert committee for lichens. Ola has his base in Roslagen.

Raul Vicente

Raul Vicente

Raul is an experienced ecologist and species specialist with both breadth and depth in his perspective. Raul has been working with Biodiversity Assessments (NVI) according to the Swedish Standard , mapping of veteran trees, as well as both general and in-depth species surveys. He is a specialist in the identification of birds, lichens, and spiders but has also undertaken many insect surveys (wood-living insects, pollinators, butterflies etc.).

Robert Ennerfelt

Robert Ennerfelt

is a trained conservation biologist and species specialist. He has a great interest in terrestrial biology, in particular entomology and ornithology. Within entomology, he has primarily specialised in parasitic wasps. He works mainly with surveys of various types, such as targeted species surveys, bird surveys and Biodiversity Assessments (NVI) according to the Swedish Standard . He also likes to work with species identification assignments. Robert regularly writes popular scientific articles on birds in the publication Fåglar på Västkusten for the Göteborg Ornithology Society.

Rolf-Göran Carlsson

Rolf-Göran Carlsson

Rolf-Göran has worked for many years as the works supervisor within RÄFS Nature Conservation Organisation and has led a team that manages nature reserves and other areas in Skövde municipality that require intensive management. He is also a keen mycologist and is responsible for the database of species for Västgötabergen Fungi Club. He is a very keen amateur botanist.

Thomas Appelqvist

Thomas Appelqvist

Thomas is a nature conservation biologist and species specialist who has worked with biodiversity surveys, nature conservation reports and management issues since the 1970s. He has a wide knowledge and experience within terrestrial nature conservation, but particularly enjoys working in the rural landscape, broadleaved woodlands, and with beetles and wasps. He is also a very experienced teacher from Göteborg University and has a PhD in wood-decay fungi associated with spruce.

Tomas Fasth

Tomas Fasth

Vikki Bengtsson

Vikki Bengtsson

is an ecologist and has worked professionally with nature conservation since 1992 both in Sweden and England. Throughout her career she has worked with issues around the practical management and restoration of old trees and wood pastures as well as veteranisation. Vikki trains arborists, landscape architects and site managers in the care and management of veteran trees. She was project manager for the EU projects VETree and VETcert.

Anita Stridvall

One of the country’s foremost mycologists when it comes to ground-living fungi. Has together with her late husband, Leif Stridvall, surveyed fungi – in a voluntary and professional capacity for more than 40 years. She is also very knowledgeable about vascular plants and lichens. Runs a website with an outstanding number of fine pictures of vascular plants, lichens, and fungi (www.stridvall.se).

Christina Claesson

Christina Claesson

Lars Söderström

During his career, Lasse has worked with education from pre-school to sixth-form college and as a nature educator for Jönköping municipality (Ekobussen). Olof Persson
